Diets Don't Work

Behavior change does.
I offer an 8 week small group course that focuses on helping you to understand how you use food, finding your triggers for overeating, and learning to listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues. Use of diet foods and “willpower” (deprivation) is potentially harmful and is discouraged. There are no forbidden foods or special foods to purchase. This course is family and budget friendly. This is a behavior change program based in awareness and personal choice with results that can last a lifetime.
The main goals of this program are to:
Help you to understand your hunger
Reveal your genetic body size and honor it
Guide you in goal setting
Encourage you to find freedom and pleasure in movement
Restore your faith in your ability to make healthy food choices without fear, shame, or guilt
Provide basic nutrition knowledge
End the cycle of: diet – lose – reality – gain – shame – diet – lose…….
Who should join?
This program is most appropriate for adults who have tried to reach and maintain a healthy weight in the past without long term success. This program is also suitable for individuals with diabetes and heart disease.
What can you expect?
A structured weight management program with support.
Individual attention. Group size is limited to 5.
No weigh-ins.
Feedback from others who are struggling with the same issues.
A period of weight stabilization followed by slow, steady weight loss.
To make a long term commitment. Behavior change takes time, but lasts.
What are the fees?
The cost of participation is:$250.00 for the 8 week course, payable at the first meeting OR $40.00 weekly. There is no reimbursement should you choose not to complete the program.
